About the Founders

Meet the creators behind Generation E.

Generation E was created by Dr. James Agtuca and Mrs. Shaylin Agtuca — a husband-and-wife team committed to helping students discover who they are, where they are headed, and how to take their next best step with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Why Generation E exists

Students deserve direction, not guesswork.

Gen. E: The Effective Generation was built to help students move beyond generic career advice and into guided self-discovery. The program brings together strengths, working style, habits, reflection, pathway planning, and AI-enhanced guidance so students can better understand themselves and their future options.

As founders — and as a family — James and Shaylin designed Generation E to feel practical, personal, and purposeful. Their shared belief is simple: a student’s future should not be something they accidentally stumble into; it should be something they can intentionally build.

Mrs. Shaylin Agtuca

Co-Founder of Generation E • Curriculum Designer • Nonprofit Consultant • Educator • Certified Public Accountant

Mrs. Shaylin Agtuca is an accomplished accounting professional, higher-education professor, youth-development advocate, and instructional designer with more than 10 years of experience working directly with youth and young adults. As a driving mind and heart behind Generation E, she helps translate academic rigor, practical planning, and student-centered mentorship into structured learning experiences that strengthen students' self-awareness, confidence, direction, and readiness for what comes next.

Her professional journey reflects discipline, sustained advancement, and entrepreneurial leadership. After beginning with foundational bookkeeping work for local churches, Shaylin progressed into high-value, high-stakes case and portfolio auditing at a large, top-performing accounting firm. She now manages her own fully remote CPA practice, specializing in bookkeeping and nonprofit consultation, while continuing a decade-long career in higher education instruction. Across these roles, she has developed a distinctive ability to make complex financial, organizational, and educational concepts understandable, usable, and responsive to the people and institutions they are intended to serve.

Mrs. Agtuca brings analytical precision, operational structure, curriculum-development expertise, business acumen, and deeply relational mentorship to Gen. E. Her academic record — graduating from both her high school and undergraduate institution with top honors and a 4.0 GPA — reflects the same discipline, excellence, and personal accountability she now helps cultivate in others. Her work is grounded in the belief that meaningful education should be rigorous yet accessible, practical yet personal, and thoughtfully designed to help every student recognize their potential and move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and confidence.
